Job Description
NNE is seeking a Completions Engineer for its Morgantown, WV office. This position will report to the Director of Drilling and Completions to design, plan, and supervise Completions operations forNNE’s Marcellus Shale Assets in West Virginia.
Position Duties:
- Plan, design, and oversee hydraulic fracturing, drill out, and workover operations
- Ensure Completions operations are carried out in a safe and environmentally friendly manner
- Create and maintain Completions AFEs and track costs accordingly
- Work with the Director of Drilling and Completions to negotiate completions contracts, conduct the bidding process, and the selection of vendors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including land, construction, geology, drilling, and production to ensure company objectives are met
- Create Completions procedures, guidelines, and best practices and ensure they are carried out at the field level
- Work with the field consultants to ensure safe and efficient execution of Completions activity
- Provide technical support to other departments as needed
- Stay current with industry trends and new technology to continually improve processes and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering or equivalent engineering discipline
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in unconventional well completions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to work across disciplines
- Experience with hydraulic fracturing, drill outs, and workover operations
- Technologically proficient and experienced with Microsoft Office and other standard software platforms
- Must be reliable and able to work in all weather conditions and able to lift 40 lbs.
- The successful candidate must be able to meet and maintain a clean driving record, pass a drug screening, and background check
