Job Description
Northeast Natural Energy, a growing natural gas exploration and production company, is seeking a Midstream Engineering Manager located in Morgantown, WV. This is an in office position – remote work is not available. Qualified candidates must possess experience in natural gas pipeline construction and operation. Additional requirements and duties for this position are listed below.
Position Duties:
- Midstream Construction:
- Develop and review engineering drawings and specifications
- Generate AFEs and project timelines
- Interact with vendors to bid & order equipment and materials for midstream installations.
- Oversee project construction, budget, schedule, and provide update reports to management
- Midstream Operations:
- Oversee Northeast Natural Energy Midstream daily operations related to new gathering pipelines, and midstream facilities (interconnect sites including dehydrations and compression equipment)
- Perform engineering calculations, analyses, and troubleshooting to prevent and resolve operational issues
- Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), pipeline integrity programs, and other related documents
- Manage and participate in inspections, ensuring adherence to all regulations and requirements.
- Midstream Contracts:
- Be the liaison between existing midstream companies, ensuring commercial contracts are met and in compliance
- Assist the marketing & transportation team with future contracts, minimum volume commitments (MVCs), and other needs
- Assist the asset team for gathering rates, contract commitments (such as volumes & compression), and other obligations.
- Represent the company for new opportunities pertaining to gas outlets, gathering, & transportation
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, Civil, or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with mid-level management experience preferred
- The ideal candidate will have a blend of strong leadership skills, technical proficiency, and a deep understanding of Midstream in Appalachia, industry best practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in designing and optimizing systems such as gathering, compression, processing, and piping interconnects in natural gas transmission facilities is required
- Understanding of ASME, ANSI, API, ISA, NACE Specs and Standards
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with government agencies, engineering resources, construction teams, external midstream companies/downstream carriers, and vendors
- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adjust to changing priorities
- Extremely team-oriented with strong oral and written skills to convey information clearly and persuasively
