Job Description
Northeast Natural Energy, a growing natural gas exploration and production company, is seeking a Regulatory & ESG Specialist for its Morgantown, WV office. This is an in-office position – remote work is not available. Qualified candidates must possess experience in natural gas permitting and regulatory compliance. Additional requirements and duties for this position are listed below.
Position Duties:
- Coordinate with multiple departments including land, operations and safety to complete permit applications such as well work permits.
- Coordinate with survey and engineering vendors/consultants.
- Coordinate with state agencies and inspectors.
- Prepare, submit and track permit applications and well records.
- Prepare, submit and track plugging applications and affidavits.
- Coordinate with production and water departments to register and certify tanks.
- Coordinate with multiple internal departments to submit timely records to state agencies.
- Coordinate with air consultants to submit timely records to state agencies.
- Assist with annual state and federal regulatory reporting.
- Assist with maintaining the Operations Management System and Emissions Survey Software including preparing reports and tracking key targets.
- Work with the ESG task force to meet certification deadlines, audits and collaborate on continuous improvement strategies.
Requirements Include:
- BA or BS degree is desired, but a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in regulatory compliance or permitting in an oil and gas related field is required.
- Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills. The ability to comprehend and communicate orally and through written communication is also required.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
