| Summary | Employee Todd Lee went to the crown of the rig to check the tong cable in the shive, The driller Eric Stanley left the rig running in case he needed to pick up the tong with the winch line to take the weight off the cable to put it back in the shive. After determining the winch was not needed for this task he started up with the winch to hook on the casing being cut on the table, at this time Todd Lee put his hand on the cable and got his right middle finger pulled into the shive crushing the tip of the finger. He was taken to the hospital and received 4 stitches, took off the nail and broke the bone in the tip of the finger. A saftey stand down was preformed and a follow up will be conducted.
