| Summary | During the process of repairing Mud Pump #1, the Floorhand Cory Michael Chioccawas was manually turning the drum wheel to position the pump in the correct spot for repairs and rolled his right hand middle finger between the wheel and the belt of the pump. He was not wearing his impact resistant gloves. Joey Richardson(drilling Superintendent) was already on site due to the time it had taken for repairs and they began the Axiom/HSE process. As soon as HSE arrived on location, they transported him to the hospital ER for treatment. He received stitches and a split as he broke his finger. Justin Bussey(Operations Manager) and Clinton Hulslander(HSE Supervisior) were on site. The process for doing this work has been changed to keep hands and tools out of the way. |
